ALIGNING EDUCATORS, STUDENTS AND EMPLOYERS
TOWARD A COMMON GOAL.
Learn more about the certifications available through AgAlign by selecting the role below that best identifies your area of engagement.
TIER 1:
KNOWLEDGE-BASED ASSESSMENTS
These online assessments were designed to evaluate student knowledge and measure the ability to apply instructional concepts in real-world applications. Tier 1 Certifications are available in Ag Mechanics, Agriscience-Ag Biology & Sustainable Ag, Agriscience-Chemistry, Floriculture, and Horticulture. They represent the first level within the two-tiered certification system offered through AgAlign. Students must demonstrate proficiency at this level to be eligible to participate in the Tier 2 certifications.
Please note the following:
Due to minor variances in curriculum and course sequencing within each local high school program, instructors are encouraged to review the assessment blueprints for each pathway to better determine which courses their students will need to complete at the local level in order to become proficient with all of the standards addressed in the individual assessments.
TIER 2:
PERFORMANCE-BASED ASSESSMENTS
These advanced level certifications recognize students that possess a deeper content knowledge and hands-on practical skills. They represent the highest level of applied knowledge and technical skill obtainment. Currently, Tier 2 Certification is available in Floriculture and Ag Mechanics (Ag Welding, Power Mechanics, and Advanced Ag Mechanics).
The assessment leading to this certification measures advanced knowledge and performance abilities required to work in industry, through successful task completion. Students holding this certification have achieved proficiency based on standards set forth by Educators and Employers.
